Advance is A  Non-Profit Organization Based In New York. Our Mission Is To Bring A Cross-Cultural Approach To Human Rights Advocacy For North Africa And North African Diaspora.

Our Aim Is To Assist In Furthering The Human Rights Situation Through: Advocating For Victims Of Human Rights Violations & Building Capacity By Increasing Access And Awareness To Platforms Of Advocacy.

Action not mere advice. We will assist in administrative duties such as writing reports, applications, and communication. Digital capacity building through designing, constructing, and safeguarding websites for organizations and human right defenders who share in our mission of furthering human rights North Africa and North African Diaspora.

We work alongside NGO coalitions, international bodies, members of the North African-American community, North African activists, and the American public to raise awareness of the human rights situation in North Africa.

Goals and Objectives

The goal of the organization and the proposed program is to adapt a cross-cultural approach to advocacy of human rights in the region by working with governments, organizations, institutions, and individuals to bring awareness to human rights violations in the region. The objectives of the proposed program are:

To Gain Insight Into The Human Rights Situation In The Region.

To Sensitize The Public On The Human Rights Situation In The Region.

To Advocate For Victims Of Human Rights Violations In The Region And Those Abused, Arrested, Or Detained For Peaceful Protests Against The Government.

To Build Capacity For Human Rights Activists By Enabling Access And Increasing Awareness Of Available Advocacy Platforms.

UPR Working Group 41 Session 2022

During every UPR Working Group Session, 14 states are reviewed. Below you may find the lists of  the North African countries that will be reviewed in 2022:

Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Research human rights violations in the region to gain insight into the situation.

02.

We Publish a journal in ISSN containing educational material highlighting the human rights violations in the region to sensitize the public on the human rights situation in the region.

03.

Produce monthly podcasts focusing on the human rights situation in all nations of North Africa to sensitize the public on the human rights situation in the region.

04.

Host events with human rights activists, affiliate organizations, universities, and individual volunteers to outline the human rights situation in the region and charter interventions to advocate for victims of human rights violations in the region.

05.

Advocate for victims of human rights violations and seek asylum for individuals undergoing extraordinary circumstances.

06.

Build capacity by building websites and increasing the web presence of human rights activists. Train individuals on using the websites, translate the contents and maintain the websites to enable access and increase awareness of available advocacy platforms.
